Official The North Face Return Policy

All items purchased from The North Face have a one-year return policy. You must have the receipt or the packing slip for the return, however, as The North Face does not allow returns without one of these documents. There is no mention of the items having to be in new condition for the return to be accepted and this is likely because The North Face items are meant to be used in the outdoors.

Customers without a receipt for an online purchase can log in to their account and print out documentation of order. If you do not have the receipt for an in store purchase, you cannot return your item to The North Face.

  2. Just want to return an item. Most other retailers have a return sticker in the box….easieee..peesie…not you must go on line sign in…. read ads….. think you can deliver back to another store…/no no Why don’t you make things simple. Will never order from North Face again. Your all hung up in the details

  4. I think your return policy stinks, where is the return label? All orders I have ordered online has a label for easy return, reminds me of DISH! I will never buy from Northface online again! We no longer have DISH Network either after 13 years, lol.

  7. You have an incorrect address listed for The North Face returns address. Please update the address. There is NOT a returns center in Grove City, OH.

  8. The white Osito Jacket material is not what I expected. It’s warm and furry but the lint sticks to the any cloth which is very annoying.

  9. I am trying to return a jacket using the online return screen. When I put my email address in it tells me that it isn’t correct. It is the one I used to order the jacket and should be on file. I also have an order # but it doesn’t even ask for that.

  10. Ditto on the return policy. I have spent days trying to get this accomplished. I have all kinds of emails for Northface and they keep telling me what my email address is and isn’t. Oh, well, I should have known better. Companies want you to buy their products but make it a real hassle to return them! I’ll stick to Lord & Taylor where they know how to treat a customer!!!

  11. Why does Dicks not support returns for North Face Products within return policy that North Face post on it’s website for store returns?

  12. When I received the Down coat it is way too small. I ordered it larger than suggested by sizing and it is way off, Very dissatisfied. Difficult to return also.

  13. Definition of torture: Trying to exchange a gift hoodie for a larger size. Called customer service to find out how (the online site was no help), Listened to interminable clanging music interrupted repeatedly by a recorded voice saying “All our operators are busy with other customers…” Finally a pleasant operator told me she’d email me a gift certificate that I should then use to rebuy the hoodie, then send the item back separately. She said she’d also email me a return address label. She confirmed my email address, but neither the certificate nor the label ever arrived. And the too-large hoodie sits there unwearable. There went the morning. North Face needs a makeover.

  14. I’m trying to print a return label and it will not print off. I’ve tried 3 times and the labels will not print whats going on.

  15. web site is a joke for returning things. You want the money but you don’t have a good customer service. We will rethink buying things from here or at any store. We only wanted to return a jacket to get another one. This is a huge joke & we don’t complain.

  16. I have spoke with several people about returning two brand new jackets with tags never worn….I cannot get alabel or form to fill out because it say i dont have an account….I have actually receipts…please hel Sincerely Renee Di Vittorio

  17. Your return site information continues to tell me that “you are not logged into the internet” which is not the case! Very frustrating. No return label, much create my own but ant get to the “place” online where I can do so I must get a tracking number at UPS or USPO. Frustrating task to return items for a company that is able to attract customers for this higher price range on all of its items. I know that there are far better ways of handling merchandise returns. This is the worst EVER for me and I do tons of online shopping. I wonder if I will ever get a refund. Fortunately, used a credit card so I can put a hold on payment if I do not! Would never recommend anyone ordering from you online and will avoid purchasing your merchandise because of my total disgust! This feels like a real racket after reading all of the other experiences similar to my own!

  18. The North Face return policy website is the worst I’ve every experienced. I experienced troubles in common with those details above – no improvement from North Face for their website after 4 years of public complaint. Remarkable!

  19. Whew! the comments above regarding your return policy is unbelievable. I have had my North Face boots for years (7). I love my boots. Just recently I discovered a tear across the top of the right boot and need information on where I could get the boot repaired. Any information regarding this request would be greatly appreciate. I live in Chicago Illinois. Thank You.

  20. I recently bought a jacket at an outlet store near my sister’s place and charged it to my credit card. Later changed my mind and wanted to return it, asked my sister to return it for me since I do not live close to the store. She had the receipt but the store would not return the money to the card. They issued a store credit. She did not ask for cash back – just to return the amount to the card used to purchase the item. They would not do it. And also told her there is only a 30 day window to return items.

    Really disappointing experience.
