How to Return or Exchange an Item at Nike
Nike is a well-known shoe and athletic company with extremely expensive in-house brands like Jordan from Michael Jordan. Customers can purchase Nike equipment, shoes, clothing and other merchandise from well-known sports stores, Nike outlets, Nike stores and online via the Nike website. Customers returning items to a Nike store have a different set of rules than customers returning merchandise purchased online at Nike.com.
Returning an Item
Returning items purchased online: Customers have the right to return merchandise purchased online for any reason for 30 days without hassle. The merchandise can be worn and washed (if clothing is being returned) and a refund will still be issued. After 30 days, Nike will accept returns only if the merchandise is in new condition. Either an exchange or refund will be granted.
If an item you purchased from Nikestore.com is found faulty or defective within two years of the production date, Nike will take the return.
Before a return is accepted, customers must first fill out a Return Form at http://help-us.nike.com/app/answers/detail/article/returns-exchanges/a_id/3409. After packing the merchandise in a box with the return form, the package can be sent via mail to the return center at the address listed below.
Returning items to a Nike Store: If you’d like to return your item to a Nike Store, you can do so without hassle as long as you have a copy of the packing slip. You can print a copy of your order from NikeStore.com. Search the Find a Store page located at http://niketown.nike.com/storelocator/storelocator.jsp to find a Nike Store near you.

Official Nike Return Policy
The official Nike return policy is simple. Customers can return merchandise for up to 30 days without Nike asking a single question about the return. After 30 days, the merchandise must be in perfect condition – unworn. If electronics are purchased, such as the Nike iPods or iPod kits, the merchandise will only be accepted if it is unopened. If there is a problem with the production of the merchandise and after prolonged use an item is found to be faulty, Nike will accept the return for up to two years.
Were They Helpful?
We gave Nike a call at 1-800-806-6453. After only a couple of rings a friendly automated recording answered the call. We pressed #3 for returns and we were asked for an order number, we pressed the # key for no order number and then the # key for no phone number. The automated system proceeded to tell us how to return the item. We never made it to a customer service representative.
