Returning items purchased in a Nordstrom store: If you have items you purchased in a Nordstrom store that you’d like to return, take the items back to any store with the receipt. Credit card orders will be credited back to the card used for the purchase.

We contacted the Nordstrom customer service department at 1-888-282-6060 to see how long customers have to return items purchased at Nordstrom. According to the agent, stores typically take returns for 30 days after the merchandise was purchased. The warehouse, however, reviews each item that is sent back to see if it is in good shape, no matter how long it has been since the purchase. If the return is in good shape, the credit is issued. We did not have to wait through an automated response. The call was answered immediately after a short greeting was played welcoming us to the Nordstrom customer service line.
